Handsome boy in need of guidance!
Toby is a handsome, young spaniel looking for an owner with the time and patience to continue his training plan to help build his confidence and teach alternative behaviours to resource guarding. As Toby will need a lot of one-to-one training, we will be looking for a quiet household with no children or other pets. Toby is housetrained, crate trained and enjoys travelling in the car.
History
Toby was handed into the centre for rehoming due to resource guarding.
Re-homing Criteria
Toby guards resources he considers to be of high value. It is very important going forward that his new owners help build his confidence and teach alternative behaviours using positive reinforcement. Anyone wishing to adopt Toby will receive a copy of his training plan to follow for continued management of his resource-guarding behaviours. Experience of resource guarding and the use of positive reinforcement would be beneficial. We will be looking to rehome Toby to a quiet home with no other pets or children.
