Tara is a super friendly stunning German Shepherd x Malamute.
Tara is a fun loving super friendly girl. She loves to play fetch with a Frisbee and during her short time with us has learned how to negotiate some of our dog agility kit. She loves to meet other dogs but does require someone to help her learn to be less excitable when meeting them. Tara loves people and wants to be everybody’s friend but needs also to learn that not everybody wants to be jumped on and licked. Tara is a very intelligent girl and keen to learn, so with the right owner she will mature into a very loyal and loving companion.
History
Tara came to us as she has a strong interest in sheep. Her owners were worried she would try and escape the garden and worry the neighbouring livestock.
Re-homing Criteria
Ideally any potential adopter will have experience working with German Shepherds or other large breeds. Tara is fine with children but we would recommend that she would be best with children over the age of 12 years due to her very playful often boisterous behaviour. She has lived with two small young dogs in the past, so we would be hopeful with the right introductions Tara could live with another dog/s. It is essential that any home Tara goes to, has a secure garden with fencing at least 6 foot in height and not next to fields that contain livestock.
