Wonderful youngster that will be an excellent canine companion with time and patience!
Frankie is a handsome young man looking for someone with the time and patience to help him gain confidence. He can be anxious and wary of new people, especially men, but he soon comes around when introduced slowly and gently with lots of treats! Given Frankie’s nervous nature and limited experience around children, we would prefer a quiet home with no young children but can consider homes with respectful, dog savvy teens. Frankie can be a hit or a miss with other dogs, he tends to be over-enthusiastic during play but would potentially be able to live with another dog going forward if the match is right. We have no information regarding his experience with cats. Frankie needs basic training, including housetraining and will need some help becoming more comfortable with car travel.
History
Frankie was handed in for rehoming because his owner felt that they couldn’t meet his needs.
Re-homing Criteria
Frankie’s new owner must be prepared to put time and effort into training him including basic housetraining. It will take time and patience for him to come out of his shell, he will need to be properly socialised around people and dogs. Frankie will need to go to a home with a secure garden and an owner who won’t leave him alone for long periods of time. We are looking to rehome Frankie with no young children but can consider homes with teens and /or other dogs after introductions at the centre to ensure a suitable match. We firmly believe that Frankie has the potential to be an amazing dog and loyal companion with time, patience, and guidance.
