Our new patron Lady Clare is committed to continuing to run Caerlaverock estate in the same way as her late aunt Mary Mumford.
When our much-loved patron Lady Mary Herries (Mumford) died in April 2017 after a long and active involvement not only with our charity but dog welfare in general, having followed in the footsteps of her late mother Lady Lavinia Norfolk, we approached her niece Lady Clare Kerr who had inherited Caerlaverock estate, home to our Centre, and to our delight she accepted. Clare sadly cannot own a dog of her own due to allergies, but she loves them and has pledged to continue the family tradition by showing support for our charity.
