Silas is a very friendly big boy. He loves people, including children and gets on fine with other dogs. He has also lived with cats previously. He travels well by car as long as he can see what's going on.
Due to a change of circumstances Silas's previous owners have very reluctantly had to present him and his close buddy Jack the Jack Russel Terrier for re-homing.
We would really like to re-home Silas with his pal Jack (the JRT) as he tends to stress when separated from him. Someone experienced in this large breed would be ideal.
If you'd like to help rehome Silas simply complete the Homefinder Questionnaire to get started.
Cara wanted to let us all know how happy she is.
Using (but not abusing) a crate can be a useful and kind way of guiding your dog to more appropriate behaviour.
You can help support the work of Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue Centre in lots of ways; become a registered member of the organisation, volunteer your help at fundraising events, become a foster carer, you can volunteer at one of our shops or at the kennels themselves and you can, of course, donate online.
